Heyday Harvest 2023

If you have not registered for this event yet, see below for registration options and event details.

ABOUT THIS EVENT

Premiering Thursday, October 26 at 6 PM, our 17th annual Heyday Harvest takes you on a journey into the worlds of some of Heyday’s most beloved authors and visionaries, including artist-adventurer Obi Kaufmann, Karuk-Italian food writer Sara Calvosa Olson, and Los Angeles Times journalist and Pulitzer finalist Rosanna Xia.

Plus, enjoy fascinating conversations with the recipients of our annual awards. Watch iconic singer-songwriter and activist Joan Baez accept Heyday’s Lifetime Achievement Award in an intimate conversation at her California home; and hear Jean Pfaelzer, recipient of the Heyday History Award, unpack the probing revelations uncovered in her book California, A Slave State.

The program will also feature updates on the latest Heyday Berkeley Roundhouse news, including the announcement of a full-time investigative reporter at News from Native California, made possible by an Ethnic Media Outreach Grant from the California State Library in support of the California Department of Social Services’ Stop the Hate program.

When you register for Harvest, we’ll email you a link to the broadcast on its air date, October 26. In addition to showcasing Heyday talent, Harvest is also our main fundraiser for the year. If you can't imagine a world without Heyday's books, consider supporting the work we do by making an optional donation when you RSVP for the program. We can't make great books without you.
